Nestled away from the main Parkway in Pigeon Forge, but close enough to still be in the action you will find the Murder Mystery Dinner Show. It is hard to stand out in a town full of big name shows like Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Adventures and Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede (among a hand full of other options) but don’t let this quiet little theatre fool you: it packs a comedy punch! We went to see the Killbillies recently and were dying of laughter the whole time!
There are a couple of shows to pick from, depending on the day you want to attend, so even if you’ve been before chances are you can plan for another performance! The perfect mix of innocently cheesy and professional performance, the cast of our show was on POINT.
Murder Mystery Dinner Show: The Killbillies
Back from Beverly Hills to start a new life in Pigeon Forge, the Clampett Family has some things they need to get use to after trading their rodeos for Rodeo Drive. Jed the patriarch of the clan has his eyes set on a new life and a new wife after some financial and zombie problems in California force the family to leave the West Coast. Ellie May and Jethro are up to their own brand of mischief and hijinks, while Granny misses her California life as much as she misses her motorcycle gang and boyfriend.
We won’t give any spoilers away because Granny made us swear to it but we will tell you a few things you are probably wondering. Like the menu, which can accommodate for dietary needs, which seems to be relatively common at all dinner shows in the Smokies, so if you have an allergy or preference call and see what your options are! There is no need to go hungry at a dinner show in this town. Murder Mystery Dinner show offers vegetarian, vegan (YAY!) and gluten free menu options.

Every dinner show in town has a different set up- some you eat before, some after, and some during. What we liked about this show is that you eat during intermission, between act 1 and 2 you are able to eat dinner and further work on the clue sheet you are given when you first arrive at the theater, which makes it so you don’t have to multitask!
Another thing we LOVED about the show was how intimate the setting is. You may be in a room full of strangers but since the show takes place literally all over the room you and there aren’t hundreds of people, your experience is far more personal than any other show in town.
Moonshine Murders: The Lukes have been runnin’ shine for years in the Sevier County hills. The unscrupulous Boss Boar and his henchwoman, local law officer Roscette P. Ketrain, have pursued them for years to no avail. But Sevier County has now become a prime tourist destination with increased traffic, making it harder for the Lukes to outrun the incompetent law woman.Grab your hats and hold on to your seats ’cause it’s gonna be a bumpy ride in Sevier County tonight!
Frankly Scarlett, You’re Dead: Attention eligible bachelors (and their guests) Colonel Simpson is pleased to invite all interested parties to attend a Cotillion to be held at the Simpson Plantation to celebrate the formation of the Confederacy (and to marry off his daughters). The Colonel’s personal chef will see to it that ya’ll get plenty to eat. Something to wet your whistle will be available, and we ask that you would please enjoy your cigars out on the veranda. My daughters, Scarlett and Melody, will also be pleased you attend (especially the eligible bachelors). And don’t forget to ask about the huge dowries!
Scarlett Reloaded: Welcome back to the Simpson Plantation, where the occupants are as full of Southern grace and gentility as much as they are insane. Melody Simpson has planned a welcome back home cotillion for her sister, Scarlett. Scarlett is happily returning home after a four year stay in prison for killing their daddy at their last cotillion. The Pinkney boys, next door neighbors of the Simpsons, show up with plans of their own for wooing Melody, but Scarlett may prove an entertain distraction. All the while, Uncle Avery just tries to keep the hijinks and conspiracies to a minimum and the family money in his control. Murder, mayhem and possible marriage ensue in this sequel to our popular show “Frankly Scarlett, You’re Dead”. Get ready to see Scarlett Reloaded!
