Tim and I went back and forth for about 2 years before we finally took the plunge and bought a Jeep Wrangler, a decision I wish we would have made much sooner! Owning a Jeep has been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Think it is silly to make a list of reasons we love the Jeep? Clearly, you’re not part of #JeepLife. If you’re thinking about owning a Jeep Wrangler?
why Owning a Jeep Wrangler is totally awesome
Kona and Rocky, adventure dogs on the go
Rocky and Kona do a lot of traveling with us. From weeklong road trips to day trips and weekends away, you could kinda say that they are the doggy version of our travel ride-or-dies. Knowing that, when we were thinking about owning a Jeep Wrangler we wanted to make sure that we we got something that would work for them. The Jeep’s spacious trunk and tailgate make it easy to load up the kennel for long trips and even easier for them to jump in the back when we head to the park. The rubber mat also means that dog hair doesn’t stick forever.
Camping and Overlanding
When we moved to Tennessee, we knew we would be taking advantage of the fact that we would be so close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Jeep Wranglers are perfect for an outdoor lifestyle. They are rugged and can handle pretty much anything. We’ve camped in the Jeep and adventured in the Jeep many a times since moving to these here mountains! Last year we even did a 24-hour scavenger hunt where we put the seats down and made it into a giant bed so we could rest for a few hours. When it comes to camping and overlanding, the Wrangler is a perfect fit for us.
It is kind of like a convertable
A Jeep Wrangler is the SUV version of a convertible. You can take the top off, the doors off, and be left with the Barbie Beach Jeep in real life. This was a big factor for us! At the time we were living in Florida where beautiful sunshiney days are perfect for taking the top off. Now that we live in Tennessee, we find ourselves taking off the doors and freedom panels. Fresh air and mountain views are good for the soul.
it looks good, no matter where you take it
I won’t lie, a part of us bought the Jeep because we were being capricious and basically just wanted a Jeep. The truth is that they look good. In any setting and any situation, a Jeep looks good. There is a vanity factor when it comes to a Wrangler, the wave is just a bonus.
Options and Customization
Few Jeep owners keep their vehicles in their stock form. It seems that everyone adds, lifts, or customizes their Wrangler sooner or later. Tim’s wish list is pretty simple: roof rack, leveling kit, rims, and mud tires. And Jeep Wranglers are the one vehicle that you can practically build and rebuild to match your vision. If you want a Barbie Pink Jeep (like I do!) you can do it. From light bars to fuel packs, there are numerous accessories to pick from.
